Initial situation:
In electrical control systems, the trend is towards electronic replacement of mechanical three-phase contactors. Especially in applications with high switching frequencies, e.g. electrical heatings, 3-pole solid-state contactors are particularly suitable. They switch wear-free, noiseless and are characterised by very good electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
The solid-state contactor PI 9260 is suitable for switching high currents of up to 60 A at 3 AC 400 V and thus enables the use in applications with heating processes.
Solution concept:
Case 1:
A manufacturer of special machines for solar cell production uses our solid-state contactors PI9260.93/06 AC 480 V 20 A including heat sink in his wet-chemical plants. When heating the baths in which the solar cells are produced, the PI 9260 switches the heating elements.
Case 2:
An automotive supplier for fastening and assembly solutions requires 3-pole solid-state contactors for his hardening furnaces. Here the PI9260.93/16 with AC 480 V and load currents up to 60 A is the right choice. For higher load currents up to 88 A, the 1-pole solid-state contactor with heat sink PK9260.91/16 AC 460 V is used.
Case 3:
A manufacturer of temperature control devices requires solid-state contactors which are immediately ready for use, switch wear-free and noiseless and are capable of high environmental temperatures up to 60 °C. The 3-pole PI9260.93/16 3 AC 480 V is designed for temperatures up to 70 °C and can handle load currents up to 60 A. The manufacturer requires the solid-state contactor as a ready-to-use version with an appropriately pre-dimensioned heat sink. It can simply be snapped onto a DIN rail.
